Energy Auditor Responsibilities-

- They have to prepare an Annual activity plan and present it to Financial management to reduce energy costs.
- Establish Energy conservation cell
- Establish Plans to reduce energy costs (Like we have introduced Bachat Lamp Yojana )
- Analyze performance of equipment within their scope to ensure the target of maximum energy efficiency
- Prepare information material and PPT to educate other staff
- Conduct a training program for energy efficiency
- Develop an integrated system of Energy Efficiency
Eligibility Criteria for Certified Energy Managers (CEM)
- a graduate Engineer (Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology) or equivalent with three years of work experience involving the use of energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc.; or
- a post-graduate Engineer (Master of Engineering/Master of Technology) or equivalent with two years of work experience involving the use of energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc.; or
- a graduate Engineer with a post-graduate degree in Management or equivalent with two years of work experience involving the use of energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc.; or
- a diploma Engineer or equivalent with six years of work experience involving the use of energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc.; or
- a post-graduate in Physics or Electronics or Chemistry (with Physics and Mathematics at graduation level) with three years of work experience involving the use of energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc.
Eligibility criteria for Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) Exam
- a graduate Engineer (Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology) or equivalent with three years of work experience involving use of energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc.; or
- a post-graduate Engineer (Master of Engineering/Master of Technology) or equivalent with two years of work experience involving use of energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc.; or
- a graduate Engineer with post-graduate degree in Management or equivalent with two years of work experience involving use of energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc.
